Scholarships are awarded to Richland County students pursuing technical certifications and college degrees based on financial need. Students do not apply for a particular scholarship, they are matched to a scholarship based on their application and the scholarship's criteria.

Bee and Frank Ackard Memorial Fund to provide scholarships for a needy or deserving Richland County female studying business or business administration at the Ohio State University-Mansfield Campus.

Robert G. and Mary Nell Beer Scholarship Fund for awarding scholarships to students pursuing a degree in engineering; consideration will also be given to students pursuing a degree in architecture.

Black Women United Scholarship for Success for deserving African-American students.

Meg Black Memorial Scholarship Fund for a scholarship to an eligible girl from either Madison High School or Mansfield Sr. High School who demonstrates interests and ability in art or English, the areas in which Meg Black had such talent.

Thomas C. and Virginia A. Blizzard Fund to assist Richland County students pursuing nursing at the MedCentral /Ashland University School of Nursing.

Joseph T. “Jep” Bloor Memorial Scholarship Fund for male or female graduates of 1) Mansfield Senior High School; 2) who participated in varsity sports (with a preference toward tennis); and, 3) has a GPA of 2.75 or higher.

Mary Jane Bolus Scholarship Fund for deserving graduates of Mansfield Sr. High School with exceptional talent and interest in the arts.

Emily Campbell Brown and Dr. Charles Gailey Brown “First Generation to College” Fund to provide scholarships to students whose parent(s) has (have) not earned either a two-year or four-year college degree.

Karyne and Joe Carey Scholarship Fund for deserving students graduating from Madison High School.

Mary and Maxton Case Fund for deserving graduating seniors from Madison High School planning to attend Ohio State University-Mansfield preference given to male students.

Children’s Theater Foundation, Inc. Endowment Fund for a student who has a declared major in performing or technical art. This award is to recognize ability, achievement, and leadership qualities in the arts.

Christ Lutheran Church of Lexington Scholarship Fund for a Lexington High School graduate attending Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, PA, or the North American Lutheran Church designated seminary, Consideration will also be given to a Lexington High School graduate attending a trade or technical school or a college.

James H. Clements, II Memorial Scholarship Fund for students who have achieved high academic performance and are pursuing a degree in the physical sciences, and is a graduate of Mansfield Christian School.

Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Fund at least two scholarships of not less than $500 to Cornerstone Freewill Baptist church members.

Davidson Scholarship Fund for deserving students in Richland County who attend OSU-Mansfield campus or students graduating from Mansfield Senior High School or Madison High School.

Tim Davis Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships to students pursuing a career in health care. Preference will be given to graduates of Clear Fork and Lexington Schools.

Shelley Dees Memorial Fund for deserving students pursuing an education at the Ashland University College of Nursing.

Neil Doerman Bowling Green State University Scholarship Fund for Mansfield Senior High School graduates to attend Bowling Green State University.

Neil Doerman North Central State College Scholarship Fund for students in Richland County to attend North Central State College.

Dean A. and Eleanor H. Eckert Fund for scholarships to deserving students from the Mansfield area who are pursuing a college degree in music, with a preference to students attending Oberlin College-Conservatory of Music.

Marilyn J. and David P. Eckstein Memorial Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships to students who are graduates of Ontario High School with a preference to those who will be attending The Ohio State University at one of their campuses and preparing for a career in education.

Joseph W. Elrod Scholarship Fund for awarding scholarships to undergraduate and post-graduate area students in need of financial aid who are studying in the fields of engineering, science or business. Science-related fields would include: medicine, dentistry, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, chemistry, physics, biology, and the like.

Miriam and Russell Ferrell Scholarship Fund for men and women in Richland County, Ohio, pursuing and obtaining a college education, nurses training or vocational training

M.I. and Feenie Fillweber Scholarship Fund for nontraditional adult students

Mark S. Fisher Memorial Scholarship Fund for deserving students who have graduated from Ontario High School.

George and Pam Fonseca Scholarship Fund for students pursuing aviation.

Phil Ford Scholar Athlete Fund for graduates of 1) Lexington High School; 2) who participated in varsity athletics and plans to attend a four-year college; and, 3) has a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

S.N. & Ada Ford Fund for deserving full-time undergraduate students, with a primary residence in Richland County and attending a local college or university.

Diane L. Gibson Memorial Scholarship Fund for graduates of Mansfield Senior High School with a preference to education majors.

Earl H. Goetz Fund In Honor of Major McGowan for deserving college/university students from Richland County, Ohio. Major McGowan was an executive at the Salvation Army, Mansfield, Ohio. He was a member of the Rotary Club. He was always interested in, among other things, meaningful programs and projects undertaken by the Salvation Army, Mansfield Branch. He was also concerned about the youth in the Mansfield/Richland County area. His interest therein resulted in the creation of the Major McGowan Rotary Club Award for deserving youth who demonstrated a record of courage. The framework thereof has been established by the Rotary Club. The interest assigned to the Major McGowan Fund, was understood by Earl Goetz, would be used in the sole and absolute direction of the Foundation in the support of the Major McGowan Youth Fund.

William G. and Margie Kauf Hailey English Scholarship Fund The fund will award scholarships to students from Mansfield Senior High School considered worthy and wanting to major in English and become an English teacher. The Haileys were English teachers at Mansfield Senior High School.

Eugene and Ruth Oestreich Harsch Scholarship Fund for an RN student with a 3.0 GPA - MSHS graduates attending Capital or Case Western Reserve University School of Nursing.

Charles H. and Dorothy B. Hickcox Memorial Scholarship Fund for deserving students studying engineering.

Ocie Hill Scholarship Fund for deserving African-American students who reside in the City of Mansfield or in Richland County and attend OSU-Mansfield.

Betty J. Horner Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships to female students who will be studying medicine at an accredited Ohio medical college or a college of osteopathic medicine of the recipients choosing.

Susan L. Jaynes Memorial Scholarship Fund for upperclassmen in elementary education at OSU-Mansfield who demonstrate average academic ability, an energetic personality, and documented ability to work well with elementary students.

Monica M. Kaye Memorial Fund to provide college scholarships to students who are pursuing an education in health care or health care related fields.

Edwin Park Kell Scholarship Fund for a Richland County student pursuing a degree in Engineering at Case Western Reserve University.

Mary M. Kowalchik Scholarship Fund for a Richland County student pursuing a degree in Journalism or its equivalent.

Lexington Alumni Association Scholarship Fund to provide college scholarships for graduating seniors of the Lexington School System.

Lexington Kiwanis Club Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships to students residing within the Lexington Local School District and who meet the scholarship guidelines established by the Richland County Foundation.

Lexington Local Schools - Terry McCammon Scholarship Fund a scholarship will be awarded to a graduating male athlete who has attained at least a 3.0-grade point average, earned two varsity letters, has not received a full scholarship and had demonstrated good sportsmanship throughout the year.

Licensed Practical Nurses Association of Ohio, Division #5 Scholarship Fund for deserving students pursuing a course in higher education to prepare to become an LPN.

Reggie Luby Scholarship Fund to deserving graduates of Mansfield Senior High School who 1) intend to pursue post-secondary education in the field of natural science, and 2) demonstrate good moral character, satisfactory academic achievement, and financial need.

Ruth E. Lutz Scholarship Fund for worthy and deserving high school graduates of Lexington High School, Lexington, Ohio who have elected to pursue higher education in the field of music.

Mansfield Noon Lions Club Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships and or educational assistance for the severely visually handicapped or junior or senior college students who are training to assist and/or educate the visually handicapped.

Mansfield Rotary Centennial Scholarship Fund will award scholarships to nontraditional students to attend Ohio State University at Mansfield or North Central State College. The fund is designed to help returning Richland County adult students over the age of 25 who want to pursue a certificate or a degree.

Patricia Maxwell Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships to Ontario High School graduates with learning disabilities to further their education at a trade school or college.

Eleanor Searle McCollum Scholarship Fund to students who have graduated from smaller community schools of Richland County with preference to graduates of Plymouth Local Schools, including those Plymouth graduates who reside in Huron County, and to students preparing for a career in the arts, health or education.

Nancy McConnell Special Education Scholarship Fund for deserving students pursuing an education in the field of special education.

David S. McVicker Scholarship Fund to award scholarships to graduates of Crestview Schools attending The Ohio State University or Ashland University with preference to those majoring in education or agriculture.

Mentzer Scholarship Fund awarded for a college scholarship to Ontario High School graduates with first preference given to students pursuing a degree in education.

Verdabelle Plank Miller Fund for deserving students having a GPA of 3.0 or higher attending a state college with preference to Clear Fork graduates.

John L. Morley Memorial Scholarship Fund for deserving third and/or fourth-year students attending an accredited college or university and showing above average academic ability.

Ontario Alumni Association Scholarship Fund for awarding scholarships to students who have graduated from Ontario High School or are descendants of alumni of Ontario High School. Preference to students attending a post-secondary institution in Richland County.

Helen Keating Ott Fund for a deserving student is one who has been accepted for admission to graduate school of library or information science, and expects to earn a graduate degree in library or information science within five years of the date of admission to graduate school.

Katy Ault Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund for a graduate of Lexington High School. 

Richland County Medical Auxiliary Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships for students enrolled in an accredited health care program.

Roby Family Fund unrestricted scholarship fund.

Grace S. and Joe R. Roby Scholarship Fund 

Richard David Ronk Memorial Scholarship Fund for graduates of Ontario High School who intend to pursue post-secondary education in a field of pre-law, education or nursing.

Fran and Warren Rupp Scholarship Fund to graduating seniors who qualify under both financial need and academic achievement requirements in accordance with Richland County Foundation’s scholarship application guidelines.

Eleanor S. Ryckman Memorial Scholarship Fund to graduates of Mansfield Senior High School studying psychology, sociology or music.

The Richard and Mary Schuttera Foundation awarded to students attending Anderson University in Indiana or OSU Mansfield. When possible, preference shall be given to an applicant who is a member in good standing of the First Church of God, an applicant needs to provide a letter of recommendation from the Pastor of a Mansfield area Protestant church of which the applicant is a member in good standing

Steve Shoenfelt Memorial Scholarship Fund will award scholarships to students pursuing either a certification or degree in a nursing-related field at a career technical education center, college, or university 

Adelyn Shumaker Fund to award annual undergraduate scholarships to students meeting the Richland County Foundation scholarship guidelines and with a preference for medical-related fields of study.

A. Richard Stofer Scholarship Fund an unrestricted scholarship fund.

Doris C. Stofer Scholarship Fund an unrestricted scholarship fund.

Sarah B. Thomas Fund to assist needy African-American students to earn a college degree. 

Donald F. Thompson Fund for deserving males who desire to take up a skillful vocation.

Frederick L. and Harriett S. Tracy Scholarship Fund for deserving and needy students from any Richland County high school demonstrating above-average academic ability.

Richard and Sally (Heckert) Uhde STEM  Scholarship Fund was established to provide a scholarship to a student who successfully completed one year of college in one of the STEM(science, technology, engineering or math) disciplines, declared a major in one of the STEM disciplines, is a full-time student at either The Ohio State University, Marietta College, Case Western Reserve University, or Ohio Northern University and earned a 2.5 grade point average in their freshman year in college, a score 23 or higher on the ACT when taken in high school and ranked in the top 25 percent of their high school senior class.  

University and College Access Network Scholarship Fund for students who have made plans to pursue post-secondary education with preference to those who are the first generation of their family to attend college.

University Club Educational Foundation Fund-Helen Weldon Memorial Scholarship for students who have a worthy music and academic record and is pursuing his or her music studies at any college or university.

University Club Educational Foundation Fund-James P. Weldon Memorial Scholarship for deserving students who have a worthy athletic and academic record and is pursuing his or her educational studies at Ashland University.

University Club Educational Foundation Fund-William Weldon Memorial Scholarship for deserving students who have a worthy business and academic record and is pursuing his or her business studies at any college or university.

Gregory VanScyoc Memorial Scholarship Fund for deserving students attending NCSC and involved in the precision machining or manufacturing processes program.

Dr. Rebecca Sue Wappner Memorial Scholarship Fund for deserving students attending Ohio State University College of Medicine. 

Helen S. Weldon Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships to deserving students studying music.

James P. Weldon Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships to deserving scholar-athletes from Richland County attending Ashland University. Consideration should first be given to a golfer.

William M. Weldon Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships to deserving students studying business.

Walter W. Willis Rotary Scholarship Fund to worthy and deserving students demonstrating above-average academic ability and who are studying: 1) Economics, 2) Forestry, 3) Nature Study or 4) Rehabilitation (Human Services).

Marilyn A. Wilson Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships to graduates of Madison Comprehensive High School, who have been involved in the Mathematics program during high school and intend to pursue a major in Mathematics in college.

The Sherrilyn R. Wilson Languages Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to students in Richland County with a first preference given to those who major or minor in language and a second preference given to those who major or minor in foreign affairs, international relations, or political science. 

Ashley Yetzer Scholarship Fund for Shelby High graduates with community service.

Yuncker Memorial Fund for deserving students who have graduated from St. Peter’s High School in Mansfield.
